I deliberately chose to
make the faces on this
painting very vague.
The reason for this is
because most people
in coffee shops appear
"faceless" and all seem
to be the same. Nobody
speaks to one another,
even though you may be
sitting right next to them.
The whole experience is
very impersonal.
