For this painting, I wanted
to take a sports image
and abstract it so that
it really became more
about movement, energy,
direction and action than
about two football players.
I really focused on the
textures of the paint and
gel mediums as well as
the fast-moving brush
strokes to define the
overall look and feeling
of the final piece.
