I decided to explore the idea of working very small as it makes you think about how you are going to go about creating an image very differently than working on a large piece. It forces you to make very critical decisions about your composition and color choices since there isn't a lot of room for "winging it" in a small format. I have always been interested in faces and portraits and chose to use myself as the subject matter in these small faces as a starting point. I also chose to work on board as I am still interested in exploring this option for collage.
